Empowering Aurora: My Journey as a Fractional CMO

As a resident of Aurora, Colorado, my commitment to the well-being of our community has always been unwavering. Since assuming the role of Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Aurora Wellness Community (AWC) in June 2023, I've had the privilege of working directly with residents in zip codes 80010, 80011, and 80012 to promote health, wealth, and well-being. I'm excited to share a glimpse into my experience and the meaningful impact we've achieved together.

What exactly does it mean to be a Fractional CMO? Let's explore.

Being a Fractional CMO is more than just leading marketing efforts; it's about driving strategic initiatives that uplift our community's well-being. At AWC, it means collaborating with local leaders, organizations, and residents to address the unique challenges and opportunities within our neighborhoods. It means leveraging marketing expertise to amplify community voices, advocate for essential services, and foster economic empowerment.

Since stepping into this role, I've had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the power of community-driven initiatives. From grassroots campaigns to digital outreach efforts, every strategy is designed to resonate with our residents and drive positive change. Together with my team at Loop and Honey, we've developed targeted marketing initiatives that promote access to healthcare services, advocate for mental health resources, and empower residents to lead healthier lives.

But being a Fractional CMO is more than just about marketing—it's about leadership, empathy, and innovation. It's about understanding community needs, building meaningful relationships, and championing initiatives that make a tangible difference. It's about being a catalyst for positive change and driving progress that benefits all residents.

As I reflect on my journey with AWC, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve our community. Together, we've achieved remarkable milestones and forged lasting connections that continue to drive our mission forward. Looking ahead, I'm excited to build upon our successes, deepen our impact, and create a brighter future for Aurora.

In closing, I'm honored to continue serving as a Fractional CMO at Aurora Wellness Community. My dedication to our community's well-being remains steadfast, and I'm committed to leveraging my experience and expertise to drive positive change. Together, let's empower Aurora to thrive.

xo, Maureen
